Quality Inspector
We are currently looking to recruit a full time / permanent Quality Inspector to work within our Quality Department. The successful candidate will ideally have excellent metrology skills and experience in the Aerospace industry.
To be successful for this Quality Inspector role, you must bring the following attributes:
- Close eye for detail & conscientious approach to work
- Proven experience with carrying out QA paperwork to AS9100 standard
- Ability to use a range of calibration and measurement tools
- Experience with inspecting complex parts
- Able to read technical drawings
- Good team player
- Good levels of English and Numeracy
Typical duties of the Quality Inspector will include:
- Checking that products meet the requirements of the component drawing, control plan and inspection report sheets
- First off / last off
- Carrying out internal audits
- Maintaining calibration systems and monitoring scrap levels
- Use of metrology tools, CMM, shadow graphs etc
- Inspect parts coming from treatments (Heat Treatment, Cad, paint etc)
- Book parts into stock and maintain and improve the system where possible
- Dealing with customer and supplier complaints
- Helping others with day-to-day running of the department (inc. housekeeping)
Hours of work are set at 0700am-1545pm (Monday to Thursday, with an early finish on Friday of 12:00PM).

CNC Turner / Miller
Key skills:
- Previous experience with use of mazatrol controls is essential.
- Having a good understanding of engineering drawings.
- Having a good understanding of engineering drawings.
- Ability to Program is highly desirable.
- Manufacturing processes of aerospace components.
- Any experience setting/operating milling machines advantageous
- Use of Bar Feed and Chucking Lathes.
- Product inspection experience and the use of gauges and measuring equipment.
- Fitting and Boring of soft Jaws.
- Ability to operate more than one machine.
- To be motivated with a "can do" attitude.
- A team player.
- Organised, focused and able to apply a high level of detail to your work.
